This year we have a new president, one who actually seems to love our country and the people in it, so we have hopes that things in our country will improve and that we'll have some more time to prepare for the hard times that will eventually come in the near future. It's very important that we pray for his protection, because there are a lot of people who hate him and falsely accuse him. And pray that he makes the right choices that will bless our country and not put a curse on it.
Some people think he is evil in disguise - we hope and pray they are wrong. He seems to want to help the people in our country, and has done some positive things already. Time will tell.
And don't forget to watch our new 60 minute show called "The MUD PEOPLE", which is similar to James Lang's "THIS LAND"
that aired on ACTV, in Aurora, IL, for about 15 years, but it is not a travel/cooking/music/evangelistic show like This Land was - it is an off-grid-living/cooking/music/evangelistic show! We share our off grid living tips, building experiences, livestock and gardening experiences, recipes, and music on this one of a kind evangelistic show! Go check it out! And enjoy our photo album too!
January 1st - Well, I don't usually make a 'New Year's resolution, but maybe this year I will. Since last year was not a good year for us, because of the accident and the back pain that went along with it, and that we still have but are bound and determined to conquer it, and because we had a horrible president and felt we were on the verge of World War 3 at any time, I'm going to start this year with the attitude that it will be a GOOD year. (The picture above is one of my greeting cards.)
Our goals are to finish our cabin; to get a pickup truck or SUV, to plant a LOT of gardens, to have fencing around them and netting above them and trellises in them; to build our simple but large enough greenhouse attached to our barn before spring and start our veges early; to get a fourth swimming pool and have about 15,000 gallons of rain water stored in them; to get new sound equipment (we lost the guitar in the pawn shop and the karaoke machine is broken) and start the Elvis shows for extra income; to get our barn cleaned out and start sewing tallits and selling them for extra income (and printed and hand made cards and crafts as well); to get our canning equipment and start canning our home-growns and also meats; to meet our quota of over 50 egg laying hens, start growing the grains, and breed the outdoor rabbits for homemade dog food; to get a building full of non-perishable foods stored; to have at least 200 gallons of drinking water stored there too; to get our female goat milked consistently and make our own cheese; to get some sheep, a few more goats, and a few cows, to get a better internet service so I can publish our online tv show more often; to get our bodies in better health and shape; to get our 100 watt solar panels so that we don't have to rely on generators anymore.
Hmmm, that's a big list, but we're gonna try to do it, and will post the progress in this year's photo album, so stay in touch. I'm praying we have a few more years before the crap hits the fan, but if it happens soon, then we'll just have to trust Yahuwah to help us survive.
One more thing - I'm going to do this photo album a little different this year - I'm going to use 'memes' to help explain some of the reasons we celebrate the holidays that we do, and do not celebrate others, and explain many of our beliefs about walking with Yahuwah, so there will be a lot more 'diary' to go along with this picture album. Okay, okay, so I preached a whole message here using mostly memes! The message is really good, so please take the time to read and consider each one. I like how it turned out and hope you will too! This year is a very important one prophetically, and I've shared a lot about that with you as well.
I love memes. They have pictures and scriptures and things to think about, and for me, they make some of the explanations more interesting and perplexing, and easier to remember! And some of them are for humor and will bring a smile on your face. If you don't like memes, I apologize for any inconvenience it may cause you, but I encourage you to stay tuned on this page, as I will also have plenty of our photographs and some videos of our progress out here living off the grid and our ministering events!
January 9th - On December 24th, our indoor 'pet' bunnies had babies. They are about 2 weeks old now. One is pure white longed haired, one is white and gray long haired, like it's daddy, and one is white with curly fur (a rare thing)! The two 2 white ones have blue eyes!
Here they are sleeping.
Here's the daddy lion head bunny with blue eyes.
And here's the mommy. I don't know what kind she is.
It got down to -6 degrees one night, and while we can keep it warmer inside our fifth wheel camper with chicken heat lamps run by the generator, it still is quite cold. We all bundle up, and since Tissy gets cold easily (more than the other dogs) I got her a quilted coat that is lined with soft material, and here she is crawling out of it! I have to watch her constantly, but at night she sleeps in it and under a wool blanket and doesn't try to get out!
Getting ready to go out in the dark. The headlamp makes me think I'm going into a coal mine.
In this cold weather James likes to make chicken noodle soup (nature's antibiotic) and boy was it tasty with those cheesy biscuits!
January 11th - After living in the woods on this mountain for almost 4 years, my son Israel FINALLY got to come out and see our place. We hadn't seen him in probably over a year, since we all have cars that aren't so great for traveling, but a friend brought him out and we gave him our last puppy and spent some time together. He says he will soon be able to come visit us on a more regular basis, and I'm hoping he can bring my daughter with once in a while too. She's never been out here. I've missed my kids a lot, but the main reason we moved out here was to prepare a place for us and them to be safer if things get really bad in our country in the cities.
January 28th - Chicken n Pineapple dinner.
We traded some goats for these hay bales last year, but we could have gotten some for $20 a bale. This is MUCH cheaper than buying square bales.
February 7th - We went into town, and a few hours later came back on the same road. Stopped at a store and it had prime rib roast for 3.99 a pound, and we WANTED it! But it was 10 pounds and up packages, and we did not have the extra funds for that. Then on the road in the country I saw a DEER in the middle of the road, that someone else had hit (very recently), and since it was a fresh kill, we loaded it on top of our hood and took it home and fixed it up and now have hundreds of dollars worth of deer meat and steaks and filet minions! Had some for brunch and it's GOOD! Yah is good. Now there is a Scripture that says not to eat an animal that dies of itself, and some believers who have no common sense may say this situation applies, but it does not. If we go out hunting and kill a deer with a bullet, or if we kill a deer with a car, both are the deer dying because we killed it. The deer did not die from a disease, or malnutrition, or from another animal mauling it to death. I'm just saying this because I know some out there would make an issue of this and falsely accuse us, and I will not accept that.
We stretched some cable across two trees and hung the deer upside down from it, and James began to process it. Sorry if this is gross to you. It is to me, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
He cut up the meat and put it in the cooler, then poured lemon juice over it to help get out impurities. The second picture shows a whole carton of salt poured over it - this also helps sanitize it and draws out blood and impurities. Then he covered it with water and left it that way overnight, covered of course, and a big rock on top of the cooler to keep animals out of it. If you have bears where you live, the rock would be useless, but our dogs' barks have kept most predators away from our property. In the morning he will clean up the meat and put parts of it in the freezer.

February 8th - Venison Pepper Steak - delicious!
February 9th - Venison Steak marinated in Teriyaki sauce and cooked with pineapple.
My PET baby bunnies are growing up. Soooo cute! The two long haired ones have blue eyes like daddy, and the gray and white one has brown eyes like mommy.
February 11th - Venison Soup. Are we getting tired of venison???? Heck no!!!
Venison leg roast - smoked for hours with hickory wood.
VIDEO: Venison Leg Roast
VIDEO: Venison Soup
And sliced up for dinner with barbeque sauce.
A cheap little snack of crackers, cream cheese and olives.
This is the deer pelt - I want to make something out of it, like a pillow cover or wall hanging. First we will clean it up, nail it to a flat board, put salt all over the underside and let it set a few days.
February 14th - Well, it's that day that sweethearts like to celebrate, called Valentine's Day. We have been reading on the origins of the day and it appears that St. Valentine was not a real man but was made up. Both February 14th and 15th are pagan holidays and the practices of Valentine's Day are from pagan worship, so we believe if you choose to honor your spouse or sweetheart by getting them a meaningful card or buying them candy, to show your love and appreciation for them, it would be best to do it on other days and not acknowledge this one. I don't have Valentine messages on any of my sweetheart cards. People can use them in whatever way they want, but I won't promote Valentine's Day as a day to celebrate. Don't forget to check out my etsy shop

February 21st - Here's a beautiful scene down the road, on our way to the country store. This is one thing I LOVE about the way we live - I ALWAYS wanted to live out in the country, and now I am living my dream! Isn't it beautiful?
March 12th - Happy Purim. Purim commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, who was planning to kill all the Jews. It is written about in the book of Esther in the Bible. Esther played a vital role in saving her people. This is not a commanded by Yah feast day, but is a good holiday to celebrate. We do not celebrate it normally, but we do acknowledge it.
VIDEO: Baby Chicks & Baby Bunnies
Here are some baby chicks and baby bunnies - so cute!
March 16th - Oh my gosh, talk about good eatin!
March 17th - It is St. Patrick's Day - I posted some historical information in last years album. He was said to be a Sabbath keeper, but he's also wearing Catholic attire in this antique picture. So perhaps he was a Sabbath keeping Catholic? - if that is possible! The Catholics murdered thousands of Sabbath keepers in the inquisition.
Anyway, if you celebrate this day, please don't include leprauchans, blarney stones, and other occult things like that. We sometimes have some corned beef and cabbage, and that is the extent of our 'recognition' of this day which honors this Sabbath keeping man.
March 19th - James made another one of his famous stovetop pizzas. I can't begin to tell you how good these are!
March 23rd - One of our hens is laying blue eggs.
March 25th - One of the negative sides of living off-grid with limited conveniences is the amount of bugs that get into our home! Especially flies, ticks, and wasps. These sticky mouse traps really help keep the count down.
March 29th - Today is the official New Year (of Yah's calendar), Nissan 1 (Hebrew calendar). So Happy New Year to all of us who follow Yahuwah!
April 11th - Pot Roast Yum! It was one of my favorite meals when I was a child. Mom used to make it fairly often. This one was a good as hers!
April 12th - Happy Passover (it begins at sunset)! I apologize for the watermarks on these greeting cards that I created. It's kind of a deterrent from people saving them and then posting them all over the internet as 'free' digital greetings, because I have them for sale in my etsy shop.
Most people consider it a 'Jewish holiday', but all of Yah's people are commanded to celebrate it. When we get 'born-again' we become one of Yah's people, and are expected to follow His instructions/commandments. This is the true day that Yahushuwah (aka Jesus) died on the cross for our sins. He DID NOT GET CRUCIFIED ON GOOD FRIDAY AND DID NOT RISE FROM THE DEAD ON EASTER SUNDAY! He died on the Passover, which fell on a Wednesday in that year, was in the grave 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS (72 hours),as it states in the book of Johah, and rose from the dead when the Sabbath was ending (sunset) and the FIRST DAY of the week (Sunday) was beginning. Easter is pagan and has NOTHING to do with the death and resurrection of our Messiah. Passover is a commanded feast day that Yah commands His people (us) to keep! It is also celebrated as the day Yah passed over the homes of His obedient children who painted their doorposts with the blood of a lamb, as He commanded them, before He destroyed the firstborn of the Egyptians, right before Pharaoh let Yah's people go and they crossed the Red Sea and escaped into freedom. When He shed His blood on the cross as the Lamb of God, He gave us the opportunity to now apply His blood (spiritually) to the doorposts of our heart to keep the destroyer from us.
We are to clean all of the leaven (which represents 'sin') out of our homes for the week and eat unleavened bread everyday during that time - called the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which starts right after Passover - the whole celebration lasts a week. Yahushuwah was buried (put in the tomb) on the first day of Unleavened Bread.
April 14th - Eating unleavened bread pancakes for Passover week. These have cornmeal in them and were really good!
April 16th - Happy Firstfruits! This is the time when our Savior had raised from the dead and the women met Him near the tomb. It is the following Sunday morning after the first day of Passover that we are to celebrate Firstfruits.
Yahushuwah was the 'firstfruits to raise from the dead'. Read in the book of Leviticus to learn about these feast days. The instructions on how to celebrate them are in there, but we do not do the sacrifices because Yahushuwah became the once and for-all sacrifice for us.
Today is also Easter Sunday for those who celebrate the pagan holidays. I'm going to post some memes on here to help you understand why we do not celebrate nor promote Easter.
I encourage you to read all of these and consider what is being said. And below are several more to consider.
Yahuwah gives His people (not just the Jews) instructions as to what meats we may and may not eat. Christians use the vision Peter had and other verses to justify breaking these dietary laws, but the vision was about people, not animals. The laws never changed.
Isaiah 66 is an end-time Scripture and it tells what is going to happen to those who continue to do things their own way instead of Yah's way, including eating unclean meats. This is long, so I shortened it. Look it up yourself to see the rest. I picked the New International Version because it's real easy to understand in this version:
Isaiah 66 (NIV)
1 This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? 2 Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.
(Jen's note): How many believers TREMBLE at His word? So many of them actually MOCK his word by insisting it they won't be judged if they refuse to obey it (as they eat their bacon or shellfish - choosing their own ways), even though Scripture says we are to work out our salvation in fear and trembling - meaning it's a process - it begins with being 'born-again' (repenting and turning from our sins) and is finished if we 'endure to the end' - continue to turn away from sin, in other words, continue by obeying His law/commandments, since sin is transgression of His law (or lawlessness) - got it yet??? I ask you to seriously consider what this Scripture goes on to say below:
3 But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a man, and whoever offers a lamb, like one who breaks a dog's neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig's blood, and whoever burns memorial incense, like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations; 4 so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring upon them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me." 5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: "Your brothers who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said, 'Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy!' Yet they will be put to shame. 6 Hear that uproar from the city, hear that noise from the temple! It is the sound of the LORD repaying his enemies all they deserve......
....his fury will be shown to his foes. 15 See, the LORD is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For with fire and with his sword the LORD will execute judgment upon all men, and many will be those slain by the LORD.
17 "Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following the one in the midst of those who eat the flesh of pigs and rats and other abominable things--they will meet their end together," declares the LORD.
Folks, your lovey dovey non-judgemental God is going to slay His enemies, and His enemies include those who eat abominable animals and those who refuse to obey His commandments. The God in the Old Testament is the SAME God in the New Testament, who came in the flesh as a man and died for our sins. Did you eat bacon for breakfast, ham for Easter, catfish after your fishing trip, lobster for your celebration? Maybe you didn't know any better and he'll have mercy, but maybe you SHOULD know better - cause you do have a Bible to study, don't you? Just sayin.
I'm sorry to break your bubble, but as loving as our Father is to those who are His, He is not so loving to those who show they hate Him by being disobedient to Him. I bet your pastor didn't tell you that! He doesn't want to lose some paying members of his congregation.
Christians say "the law was just for the Jews". They say that the 7th day Sabbath, which is part of the law, is just for the Jews. This is not true. Below is what the Bible says about that:
Christians say 'Jesus' did away with the law. He (and His Name's Not Jesus
VIDEO: "His Name's Not Jesus" - by James Lang
it is Yahushuwah, or Yahushua - same name) He did not do away with the law. We do not do sacrifices, because He is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, but once we repent of our sins and receive Him as our Lord and Savior, because of the atonement He provided for our sins by dying on the cross and coming back alive, we must then learn to stop sinning. His grace does not give us a license to continue to sin. Sin is transgression of His law. So to stop sinning, we must stop transgressing His laws, start obeying His laws. That is what these memes are about, with the Scriptures to show they are from the Bible. Below are some that help explain that:
Yahushuwah never broke the Sabbath, He teaches us how to keep it correctly. It is the man-made additional laws that He spoke against.
This verse is talking about the anti-Messiah (anti-christ). Hmmmm, guess who has made those changes and even admits it? THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!
And this is why the anti-messiah and his minions hate Yahuwah's feast days (Holy Days). Is this starting to make sense to you? Satan helped create substitute holidays (easter, Christ mass) to replace Yah's holy days, and in order to get Christians to go along with it he had them fall on pagan holidays, combining the two, to get people to disobey Yah's commandments to celebrate His feast days, which all are types and shadows of our true Messiah, Yahushuwah. Pretty sneaky, huh.
And below is what Yah thinks about our man-made holidays, which were designed to replace His feast days:
So which will you choose to obey, the Catholic church, or your Creator?
I know this is a bit harsh but it is what the Bible actually says. Maybe if you listen to this now, you won't regret it later. Just sayin.
Do you want the sugar-coated version or Yahuwah's version? Hint - one will lead you to hell with sadness and misery, and one will lead you to Yahuwah's kingdom with eternal life and happiness.
And so some people call us Bible Thumpers! LOL. So James made this video for a friend of the family who called him that!
VIDEO: James Bible Thumping LOL!
The secret to this is that once you become born-again you must strive to stop living in sin, or you will not 'stay' saved - it's a process and yes there IS something you have to DO once you're a believer - salvation is a free gift - you are saved by grace, but staying saved requires you to stay living in Yah's will, and His grace helps you do this. Rev 22:14 implies that you must have the Messiah AND walk in His commands (so does Rev 14:12) - hint, if you don't walk in His commands, you no longer have Him as your Messiah! The two go together.
This last statement is absolutely true - we and many we know, who chose to start obeying the 'law' to the best of our knowledge and understanding, have lost almost all of our friends. But I'd rather have Yahushuwah than friends, if that's what it comes to.
Also, most of our family members have either turned against us or avoid us, because we tell them the truth about the Bible and they do not want to hear it. We are evangelists and ordained ministers. Our job is to try and get people to get in right relationship with Yahuwah so that they won't end up in the lake of fire. Here is one example of a relative who claims to be a commandment keeper, yet moved in with a guy when she was married to someone else, and so was her guy married to someone else, they celebrate pagan holidays together (even Halloween), work on the Sabbath, claim they are living together in Yah's eyes as husband and wife (even when they were married to their spouses and in double adultery), she dresses like a harlot (at least almost every time I've been around her and in many of her pictures) - and we dared to confront them about this and let them know they needed to repent. After admitting she is sinning, and excusing it with "Yah knows my heart", here are a few of her responses to James:
This is coming out of the mouth of someone who claims to be in right relationship with God, even though she admits she is sinning - LOL. Why am I putting this stuff in our photo album/diary? To show you some of the stuff we go through. And that even though we are living out in the woods in practically the middle of nowhere, we are constantly talking to people about Yah's word and trying to steer them in the right direction. We talk to them on the internet, in text messages, on the phone, at the stores, everywhere we go. Many of them listen (but probably don't make the changes they need to make), some of them have asked for prayer and gotten healings and been very thankful, and some of them are very hateful because we dared to confront their sin. Some of their responses are hard to believe, so I'm posting a few of them here to show what I'm talking about.
Here's a nephew who we allowed to come live with us because he supposedly wanted to get his life together (was hanging around with the wrong crowd) and wanted to help us build our cabin. His mom lied to us and didn't tell us that he was hiding from the law for felonies he committed. So we were trying to minister to this guy and didn't even know we were hiding a fugitive. (Last we heard he was in jail, so was his mom, and another family member - so justice was done). We talked to him about the Messiah when he seemed open to it, and didn't cram it down his throat - I think this is an example of casting your pearls before swine and them trampling it???? But here is his way of showing 'appreciation' for our efforts to minister to him and help him (and we were nothing but nice to him) - please bare with me concerning the language he used - I'm wanting you to get the full impact of his kindness! And I only posted a VERY FEW of the foul messages he posted - the others were too bad to include here! He posted these messages on my praise and worship music videos. I was told recently that he gave his life to the Lord and wanted to apologize to me, but I haven't heard from him. I also heard that he backslid already and is in jail. I don't know what actually is going on presently:
We have been called the devil, haters, 'fallen from grace', and many other names, and so have many fellow believers who walk the same path as us. This next one is another nephew whom James wanted to help get closer to Yahuwah, get healed of a painful disease he has, and he also wanted to help James build our cabin. It starts out when he said he wished he could live here, and since James had ministered with him in the past, and knew he used to love bringing others to his evangelistic meetings, he felt this would be a good idea. LOL, well....... he was wrong. The guy said he got a bus ticket and was on his way, we spent over 24 hours 'looking' for him when he said he was at the bus stop waiting for us, he would never tell us where he actually was but kept begging us to come pick him up, and after messing with our heads for all that time, we found out he never even left his home town. Here are some of the correspondences with him. Oh, and I told him we spent $300 making preparations for him to be comfortable when he got here, and he had said he was going to give us that money back because he supposedly had plenty to help him get set up, and when we found out he wasn't coming I asked him to send us that money because it was our grocery money for the month - so that is what he is referring to - you will see as you read. LOL. Again, I apologize for the language, but want you to get the whole gist of what we had to deal with.
This next one is a guy (actually, ANOTHER nephew of James), who tried to steal property from us, and when he didn't get away with that, he extorted thousands of dollars from us and blackmailed us, and we are waiting for Yahuwah to avenge us, cause the guy refuses to repent. These are some recent messages as we were trying to get him to repent. Oh, and he is a supposed 'Torah keeper' minister. But he only obeys the verses that don't hurt his pocketbook.
Alrighty then. I'm not making this stuff up! Many fellow commandment keeping believers have similar experiences with friends and family, and strangers too. Next we move on to a relative of James (I'm beginning to think all his relatives are nuts!) This is to show you how many people, not just him, respond when we try to tell them that we are supposed to obey Yah's commandments. If you want to read a lengthy conversation with several family members, go to this link
CONVERSATION WITH RELATIVES
Now next is a minister who run into occasionally, and we were telling him about the Messiah's true name and about His commandments, especially the Sabbath. This guy travels around carrying a cross and telling people about 'Jeeeezzzzus' (I mock the name because it means 'earth pig' and is not the Son of Yah's name), and often preaches at a local group here that James has also preached at, and we were asked to be part of a 'revival' there in the near future, so we realized that this guy needed to be on the same page as us or we would not be able to work with him (since he was asked to preach the revival also). Could you see us teaching people about the real names and the commandments, and then him using Jesus as the name and teaching that we do not need to obey the commandments. Not to mention they serve pig at their meetings. So yes, we needed to talk to him about these things and he refuses - all he does is mock us and the Scriptures he supposedly believes in. And the leader who asked James to preach has now said we are not welcome there, and when we see this person at the grocery store buying bacon, we confront that, and this 'leader' openly ADMITS that the Bible says not to eat pork, yet buys it anyway!!!!! Here are just a few of the preacher's responses (in gray):
So here he is mocking Yah's law, saying satan is our father.... Because we showed him the Scriptures that verify what we were telling him.... Pretty amazing if you ask me!
Seems like a good thing to know His name!
So if the righteous run in to it, how come that minister runs away from it?
Yah responded and healed him as a child because those people didn't know any better and were acting in the faith that they had, but wouldn't it be better to start teaching people the truth now that we know it rather than lie to them and say the Messiah's name is 'Jesus' when we know that is a lie? He was never called that name one day of His life. The Catholics gave Him that name in the 1600s. The Bible says liars will go into the lake of fire.
People need to know the true name to call on. Do you know what the name 'Jesus' means?
It's hard to believe some of the things said by those who choose to continue to live in sin (transgress Yah's law) even after they've been presented with the truth. Most will not even study these things out to see if we are correct. I guess it's a 'horrible thing'? to actually try and obey the Scriptures that we profess to believe in?
Or to believe what the Bible actually says over and above what the 'pastors' say, when they contradict? Or to study out and learn the real meaning of verses that were not translated with the correct wording, and not explained in the notes, as to the context and the Hebrew idioms that are often used. If you've just tuned in to this picture album and haven't read our main page yet, please take the time to read it and listen to James' message near the bottom after you finish this page. It will help you understand a little better about these things I'm saying on this page. In the meantime, here is a little song James wrote that humorously expresses most believers attitude about the 'law', that not being under the law means they can BREAK THE LAW (and live in sin)! (Hint - we are not under the law of sin and death - we can repent and be forgiven)
"I'm not Under the Law!"
April 19th - Farm fresh eggs with a titch of color. I want a whole rainbow of colorful chicken eggs - blue, green, pink, brown, dark brown, white and tan.
April 20th - Another stove top pizza - look at the juiciness!
VIDEO: Pizza !
April 23rd - Here's a bouquet James picked for me from our wild flowers in the woods.
VIDEO: Picking and Drying Plantain
And here's a bunch of Plantain I picked and tied together to dry and store for when we need it.
April 26th - The wet-weather creek is flowing and over-flowing big time today. This is how we get most of our water. We do buy our drinking water, and we like to use clean rain water for our baths and dishes, but we use filtered creek water for the plants, animals, and clothes washing. (We do also go to the laundrymat.)
April 27th - More wildflowers from James
May 3rd - Playing around with a new web cam program
May 4th - International Day of Prayer
May 10th - One more bouquet
These military planes fly way too low over us - this has been going on ever since the Jade Helm exercises last year. This isn't the lowest they fly. I haven't been able to catch that on video yet. Sometimes they fly right up our driveway about 20 feet above the trees!
May 14th - Happy Mother's Day! I can't say it's actually too happy for me, because I didn't get to see my 2 children and I miss them terribly, but found myself looking at some of their baby pictures (they are adults now and I don't hear from them very often.) Below I'll share a few of those pictures with you. On the left is my son, and on the right is my daughter.
and again, son on the left, daughter on the right, same blanket (that I made)
and once more, son on the left, daughter on the right
So that is what I spend my Mother's Day doing - missing my babies and longing to hear them say "I love you mom" and feel their hugs. Neither believes in God anymore, and it grieves my heart. Every time I think of them I pray "Father, please make sure they make it to Heaven somehow." I can't bare the thought of them not being there with me. I ask Him to please make sure I make it there too. Many times in my past I've slipped back and I don't want to ever do it now.
May 15th - Our momma goat had a dwarf baby last year and he was the sweetest little thing, and at a year old he still looked and acted like a baby - we loved him and should have brought him in as a pet, but we thought little Bobo would be better off with momma, and she killed him, the day after Mother's Day!!! It's hard to understand why a momma would kill her own baby, and over a pile of food! But people kill their own babies in the womb everyday. It's so sad.
The little goat in the front is Bobo. He never got any bigger.
Just trying to inspire you to eat healthy.
May 16th - Juicy Omelet with broccoli and cheese!
Pretty soon we'll have tomatoes. We've planted a lot of things in pots because we still aren't able to dig the big gardens, due to our back conditions since the accident, but we are going to get better with Yah's help.
VIDEO: ATV Delivered.
May 18th - We finally, after a year of arguing back and forth with the insurance company, got the funds to get a few things we needed - one being a better automobile, shown below (the one that got wrecked still runs but is quite a mess). But this little ATV (Suzuki), shown above, is going to be used to pull a wagon of heavy rocks and branches for building our adobe/rock/etc cabin. After all this time, our backs are still hurting from the accident, so we need extra supplies to hopefully help us finish this thing! Here it's being delivered.
And here is our new SUV. Now we have a safe vehicle to drive, and it can haul building supplies for our cabin, and musical equipment so that we can start doing singing telegrams and other musical adventures to earn some extra money so we can finish our cabin and get this ministry off the ground.
Got a decent generator, 4,000 watt Predator (see picture on left), so we can run our little camping fridge better (and lights, computer, phone, fans, heaters, battery charger). We'd been using those little 700 watt generators from Harbor Freight (see picture on the right) and having to exchange them before the 3 month warranty even ran out, because they never lasted even 3 months! Some didn't even last a month! Pieces of crap (you've been warned!) This bigger one runs better, and is easy to start, yet (I'm posting this in August) looking back, we did have to exchange it once already because it malfunctioned after about 2 months. The good side is we have a 2 year warranty that will allow us to exchange it as many times as needed if it quits. (Update 5/2018 - we had to exchange it AGAIN and the 2 year thing only covers one exchange, period! Thank Yah the newer one was still in it's 90 day warranty so we did get another for free, but they are deceiving - the warranty costs 100.00!) The bad side, besides the fact that these things aparantly aren't made all that well, is that it is very heavy, and hard to transport! Our goal is to get enough solar panels to where we won't need to use a generator. LOL, when they discontinued the little red one and replaced it with the green one, they said they updated to a better model, but they are the same generator with a different name and color!
May 19th - James coming down the driveway on his
May 20th - He was so happy he got me another bouquet of wild flowers! LOL!
We got this Gold's Gym set-up (just the machine! LOL!) to help us improve our injured backs. We got this from Walmart's website for about $200. We like it a lot but let me warn you (in case you get one), it comes completely apart! There are zillions of pieces to assemble! We managed to do it, but it was NOT FUN! LOL! We also got a small air conditioner to put in the window of the barn/cabin so we can work out in there without dying from the heat! We need another air conditioner for our 5th-wheel (that we live in - for now we use a few fans).
VIDEO: Organic Poison Ivy Killer
May 21st - Here's one way to get rid of poison ivy - our billy goat loves it, and it no, it's not poisonous to him. Don't ever use Round Up weed killer! It's very toxic and dangerous - causes cancer.
May 29th - Happy Memorial Day! Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials, particularly to honor those who have died in military service.
Reading the Bible on Memorial Day
May 31st - Well, things are getting more interesting now. The guy we bought the SUV and ATV from, at his pawn shop, heard James trying out some guitars there, and asked him if he was interested in providing some entertainment in his little country store in Midland, Arkansas. He bought this place, and it used to have music and karaoke before he bought it, and so he wants to bring that back in hopes to draw in more business. They have a nice stage, stage lights, professional sound equipment, a game room, and they make burgers and pizzas, etc. So it's not just a 'country store'. Apparently a lot of people used to come there on the weekends but the former owner wasn't able to keep up with things and ended up selling the place. So this is a new venture of ours. We'll go there on Saturday nights to practice on their equipment until they get the place cleaned up and ready for us to play officially, and we hope to make a little extra money there. How much probably depends on how many people show up and how much they spend on things in the store. But another interesting thing about this is that the owner said after we get a following he is open to us doing gospel music there and doesn't mind if it turns into a revival. So, we'll take this as it goes, and see if Yahuwah is up to something special here.
As you can see, it's a very scenic drive to Midland. But when you get there it's not so scenic, yet! LOL. I'm showing these pics for the before and after contrast. The place is messy, but will be cleaned up. The first two pictures show the stage - behind all that stuff! If you can see it! LOL.
We started out practicing back there behind all the stuff.
Next are some pictures of the game room
This section look great
VIDEO: Little guy singing the yodel!
Here is the entertainment for tonight. LOL. James gave this little guy that guitar so he might learn to play (if he doesn't break it first). Ain't he cute?
James is practicing while the staff is cleaning and running the store.

June 4th - Today is Pentecost! (Shavuot or Festival of Weeks, also called Pentecost) It commemorates the giving of the Torah (the first 5 books of the Old Testament - the COMMANDMENTS/instructions/law) at Mount Sinai. This is also the day that the baptism of the Holy Spirit was given to believers in the upper room, in which tongues of fire came upon them and they spoke in other languages as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance.
Here is one of the reasons the Holy Spirit was given that no one wants to talk about, and pastors don't teach about. Look it up in your Bible!
June 11th - Unpacking our fourth water storage swimming pool! This is NOT a fun job! LOL!
But we got the job done and here it is!
We also got this little alkaline battery charger (it also charges rechargeable batteries) and it's helping us save money on AAA's, AA's, D's and 9 volt batteries. Seems to work best on name brands and they'll recharge quite a few times (like 30 or more) before they finally begin to corrode. We use batteries for flashlights, portable fans and a few other things. It takes over 24 hours to charge D batteries, only an hour or two for AAA batteries, and several hours for AA batteries. I want to get one more and also some rechargeable batteries instead of alkaline ones because I suspect that in the long run that will work better.
June 18th - Happy Father's Day! Not one of James' 6 kids and 2 step-kids wished him a Happy Father's Day. His kids have some really serious issues and are in need of lots of prayer. They have all chosen lives of disobedience to Yah (adultery, stripping, witchcraft, fornication, lying, etc).
And Happy Birthday Israel (my son)!
June 25th - Here's a song by James for those who are depressed!
VIDEO: "Antidepressants" - by James Lang
July 4th - Independence Day is the anniversary of the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. We didn't do anything special today, just acknowledging it. The neighbors lit fireworks and we saw a few of them, but that's it.
July 10th - Lamb burger with onions, tomatoes and cheese, on flat bread.
July 12th - I tell you no lie - we may live off grid with no hook-up to electricity unless our generator is turned on, making pizzas on the stove-top of our propane stove, but we eat the best pizzas you could ever have!
July 14th - And this ain't a bad breakfast either - farm fresh eggs, beef sausage, turkey bacon bits on hash browns!
Beef stew at it's best
July 15th - Not bad for a 64 year old man - and the light shown upon him!
July 20th - Then this thing jumps towards him by our pond! He didn't know if it was a cottonmouth or a watersnake! It seemed to have some characteristics of both. Once again, the snake lost and James won!
July 21st - This is our fourth pool and we are trying to use this one for cooling ourselves off in the heat, but as you can see, the water has already gotten cloudy, and when we run out of generator power for lack of money for gas, or out of bleach and baking soda, we aren't able to cool off as we'd like. When we get enough solar panels and batteries we'll be able to solve this problem much better because we'll be able to run a filter everyday.
July 27th - James got a high fever, horrible headache with pain at the base of his neck, weakness, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, and said he felt like he did when he once had a tropical disease that was very deadly - his head felt so extremely hot and I couldn't find our thermometer, but all in all we suspect it's
Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever
(he didn't get a rash, but some people don't), because we find ticks crawling on us almost daily, and have found many attached and pulled them off. Well, he had found one on him that looked like it'd been there a few days and died there. I had this last year and had the fever and headache for four days before I thought to use our zapper, which kills pathogens in the body. We looked up the disease and found out you can die from it in about 8 days if you don't treat it. This would be a good reason to order some fish antibiotic capsules of Doxycycline
- it's the same quality as those sold for humans - and keep them on hand if you are exposed to ticks, because that is what is used to treat it. I've read many testimonies about people going to the hospital or doctor, being misdiagnosed and not given that antibiotic right away, and suffering much because of it. Several also said the doctors didn't believe them and wouldn't do the test right away, but even if they do the lab test, it takes a week or two to get the results, and tick fever needs to be treated right away. Many have problems for years afterwards if they are not treated promptly and correctly. But the zapper and also our friend Tim and his friends praying half the night broke the fever by morning, stopped the headache, and the other symptoms were gone within 24 hours. So we hooked James up to the zapper and also called for prayer, and his fever was gone within a day, and the other symptoms left shortly afterwards. I have cured kidney infections at least 50 times over the past ten years with this zapper, stopped the common cold, flu, and other things, so I'd say this little device is a life saver. Below is a picture of my son using one in 2003.
I got mine for less than $100 more than 10 years ago - the one I now own, "Multi-Zap", is no longer available, but many other ones are, and you can also make your own - there are instructions online - just google it. I recommend one with 2 frequencies because one covers a more surface area and the other covers the deeper organs - we alternate the frequencies to get everything and we use it for several hours at a time. Here's some information on zappers if you're interested: All you need to know regarding the Zapper
July 29th - James with his nephew and his wife and daughter - they met us in town as they were passing through (they live hundreds of miles away), and bought us lunch. They couldn't have kids, and James had prayed for her to get pregnant and have a baby, and shortly afterwards the miracle baby came, and this is her. She's a real sweet little girl too. She has type 1 diabetes and James prayed for her to be healed. Anyone reading this - please take a moment to pray for this precious little girl, named Hailey, to be healed completely in Yahushuwah's name.
I want to take a few minutes to share information on why it's to important to use the correct name of our Father and Messiah. The two are one, and the Father took on a human body to come and dwell among us, to live a sinless life, and to present His own body as the ultimate atonement for our sins, so that when we repent of our sins, we can be forgiven through Him. The Father's name is Yahuwah (or Yahuah - pronounced the same) and the Messiah's name is Yahushuwah (or Yahushua). The Messiah (called God's Son) is the Father in human form, and His name is the Father's name plus 'shu' in the middle. The name as a whole means salvation in Yahuwah, and Yahuwah means 'I am'.
Scriptures say there is only one name under which we may be saved:
Isaiah 43:11 "I am YaHuWaH, and besides Me there is no saviour."
Acts 4:8-12 "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, ......by the name of Yahushuwah the Messiah, of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom Yahuwah raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Every time you call on the Messiah Yahushuwah, you are calling on Yahuwah because they are one.
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 "Hear, O Israel: Yahuwah is One: And thou shalt love Yahuwah with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Mark 12:29-30 "And Yahushuwah answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; Yahuwah is One. And thou shalt love Yahuwah with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
The name Yahuwah is in the name Yahushuwah. We have no right at all to 'change' our Creator's and Savior's name - it is what it is and it never changes, and see below the Scriptures that indicate the importance of His name!
As I posted earlier, Jesus means 'earth pig', it does NOT mean salvation in Yahuwah! It is NOT the sweetest name we know! We must stop calling Him by this pagan derived name and start calling Him by His actual name, and teach others to do so also. If we tell people the Messiah's (Savior's) name is Jesus, we are lying to them, and lying is a sin.
Now I want to briefly mention those 'images' people have painted of our Messiah. There is one 'look' that has been used over and over through the years, you know, the 'Jesus' we see framed and on peoples' walls, decorating candles, cups, and posted all over the internet? Let me show you who that really is! The famous artist who painted the original picture of this 'Jesus' had a model, and he had a homosexual affair with this model as well. Do you 'really' want to hang this guys painting on your wall and think of Him as your precious Messiah every time you look at it??? It's pretty disgusting if you ask me. I really don't think we should have ANY pictures on our wall to represent Yahushuwah, because all of the artists used models of a 'man' who they thought 'looks' like 'Jesus' should look. This is like putting a photo of someone on your wall and saying 'that is my Jesus!'
Here's that same guy! It is not a portrait of the Messiah! Some people even kiss these paintings in an act of worship of their "Jeeeezzzzus" - I'm pretty sure that is called idolatry!
Now the Jews do not believe 'Yeshua' is the Messiah, but they do know He existed, and many insist on calling Him Yeshua, while some call Him Jesus, and very few call Him by His actual name Yahushuwah. Many Hebrew scholars go along with this nonsense also. Yeshua is a 'modern' Hebrew word meaning salvation, but it is not His name. His name never changes, as He never changes, and it didn't 'modernize' when the language 'modernized'! His name means salvation in Yahuwah. When they 'changed' His name, they changed it's meaning. Also, Yeshua does not include the Father's name Yahuwah. (neither do the incorrect names 'Y'shua' 'Yahoshua', etc, and certainly not 'Jesus'.) Thirdly, the root word yeshu is explained below.
Because the Jews do not believe He is the Messiah, and many think it is blasphemous to call Him the Messiah, they WANT His name and memory to be blotted out! So it makes sense that they say His name was Yeshua! And they say the Father's name is Yahweh, but it is not. That is also a modern Hebrew word. His name was His name before Hebrew even was. The Jewish people think His name is so sacred that they should not even utter it, even though the Scriptures instruct us to call on His name, praise His name, etc., and many of them call Him Ha-shem instead, which means 'the name'.
I actually had a Jewish man tell me that when their Messiah comes, I will think he's the anti-christ. Wow, the lights came on! Because in actuality, for a certain time period, when the anti-christ starts his rulership, they will think he's the Messiah!!!!!
Many of them are waiting for a 'human' man to be their Messiah, so when his kingdom is set up, they will fall for it, until they see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, and then the lights will come on, and they'll know he's the anti-Messiah! And then they must run for their lives (flee to the mountains, not even looking back).
We believe that people who call on the name Jesus in ignorance are accepted, because of Yah's mercy and grace, but when people have been told the truth about that name, and told His true name, yet continue to call Him Jesus (earth pig), then we believe they may not be accepted by Him. He is the one to decide, obviously, but I wouldn't play Russian Roulette with my salvation and bank on that. We should be thrilled to learn the truth, and APPLY IT! And understand that salvation isn't just a one time prayer at the altar and 'you're in the club'! If you continue to live in sin after that prayer, rather than turn away from the sinful life you are getting saved from, then you receive His grace in vain. The Bible says if you continue to sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth, you face his anger and judgment.
And sin is transgression of His law. So you need to study His word to learn how to live right. You need to learn to obey His laws/commandments, to follow His instructions.
I believe if someone dies right after praying a sinners prayer, that they will be accepted by Him if they truly meant the prayer and had a heart change, since they never had a chance to learn how to live right. But for the rest of us, salvation is a process. The Bible says that he who endures to the end will be saved. The churches do not teach this! They lie to the people!
Many people think that keeping Yahuwah's commandments (or law - remember, they are one and the same thing) is not necessary once you are born-again, but the Scriptures indicate otherwise, and here is another that shows that once you are born-again you must start obeying the commandments in order to stay saved (endure to the end - a process, not a one time event):
Mat 19:16 And behold, one approached saying to Him, "Good Teacher, what good will I do that I may have everlasting life?"
Mat 19:17 Moreover He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? None is good except one, Yahuwah! Moreover if you want to enter into the life, keep the commandments."
Mat 19:18 He said to Him, "Of what sort?" Yahushuwah said, "Do not murder, do not be an adulterer, do not steal, do not bear false witness,
Mat 19:19 honor your father and mother, and unconditionally love your neighbor as yourself."
Mat 19:20 The young man said to Him, "All these I have kept out of my youth. What do I still lack?"
Mat 19:21 Yahushuwah said to him, "If you have in mind to be perfected, go sell your property and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in the sky, and come, follow Me."
Hmmm, sell out to Him (put Him first - this man's riches were too important to him - idolatry), follow Him AND obey the commandments, and here He just mentioned a few to give the guy the gist of what He was saying.
It's interesting how people who insist that the Old Testament and law were done away with, yet they love to read Psalms and Proverbs and consider them to be valid.
Psa 119:47 and I will delight myself in Your commandments that I love.
Psa 119:48 And my hands I will lift up to Your commandments that I love, and I will meditate on Your statutes.
Psa 119:49 Remember the word to Your servant who waits for You.
Psa 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life.
Psa 119:51 The arrogant have me in great derision, yet I do not turn aside from Your law.
Psa 119:52 I remembered Your judgments of old, Yahuwah, and have comforted myself.
Psa 119:53 Indignation has taken hold of me because of the wicked who forsake Your law.
Psa 119:54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.
Psa 119:55 I remember Your name in the night, Yahuwah, and I keep Your law.
Psa 119:56 This has become mine because I kept Your precepts.
Psa 119:57 You are my portion, Yahuwah. I have said that I would keep Your words.
Psa 119:58 I am weak before You with my whole heart. Be gracious to me according to Your utterance.
Psa 119:59 I thought about my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies.
Psa 119:60 I made haste and did not delay to keep Your commandments.
Psa 119:61 The cords of the wicked have bound me and I have not forgotten Your law.
Psa 119:62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.
Psa 119:63 I am a companion of all who fear You and of those who keep Your precepts.
Psa 119:64 The earth, Yahuwah, is full of Your mercy. Teach me Your statutes.
I found this picture from 1992 - this is probably the only time you'll ever see James in a 3 piece suit! He doesn't own one nor want one anymore. Now this was 25 years ago and I think he still looks just as good when he trims up his face and hair!
August 5th - Well, they got the place cleaned up and next weekend is our first night to sing. This starts before the sun sets, so we won't be doing the first hour or so for a fee. We don't have anything set up on that yet anyways. We'll have an offering bucket set up, and though we will be doing secular as well as gospel music, we are treating this as a ministry opportunity and expecting Yahuwah to move. James has used this method many times with good success. He uses the method of meeting the people on common grounds. Below are some videos of us singing at Midland.

August 9th - Did you ever have liver and onion sandwiches? If not, you need to try this! They were delectable!
August 11th - Lamb burgers are BETTER than hamburgers!
August 12th - Well........ what a day! We were getting ready for our first official night of music at the Midland Country Store. The owner said he put out quite a few of our posters, and the sign outside the store was supposed to be updated to say there is live entertainment on Saturday nights (but that didn't get done for some reason).
So James was out in the yard tending to one of the animals and I hear him yelling for me. One of our hens had 10-15 baby chicks hatch under our other car and they were running all over the yard near 2 of our dogs (baby chicks look like chicken nuggets to them) and I had to catch them all, with mamma hen trying to peck me to death (til I caught her), and put them in a safe temporary place (a cage). That took up a lot of time and energy, and then....
While we were getting ready (wanted to leave really early) the neighbor (a really nice older man) came over to ask if we'd seen his boy (a down's syndrome man in his 40's) - he had wandered off and no one could find him. I don't think he's ever done this before, and the heat index was 104 today. After a while, when he still didn't turn up, James took off on his ATV to help look for him. The fire department was at the neighbors, and other emergency vehicles, and they were preparing to bring in mounted deputies on about 15 horses - beyond their property (shown in above picture) is miles of wilderness with bears, snakes, maybe cougars, coyotes, etc, and thick brush. So James got the dad and a few others in a circle and prayed that they'd find him and he'd be okay. Then he got the feeling that the boy was down the hill where you can't go without a 4-wheel drive or ATV, so he headed down there yelling the guys name, and one of the emergency vehicles went down there, and they did find him and he was okay (but pale and drained). But James' ATV ran out of gas way down the hill, James started to get heat stroke, and he was yelling for help, so the emergency people brought him back up the hill, but the ATV is still down there. And not one family member even said thank you to James after he almost died trying to find their son.
A neighbor (who has Alzheimer's Disease) was going to take James back down the hill in his truck, with a can of gas, but all of a sudden the neighbor just took off, and while backing out of our driveway he ran over and smooshed our mailbox (backside is flattened). Our theme song said we don't have a mailbox, but we later got one so I could order things and have them delivered here. We still have no utility bills!
So we tried to go down the hill in our SUV, but it's not a 4-wheel drive and we couldn't go far because there are huge gouges in the road where water carved a path during heavy rains, and there are big rocks all over. These pictures are looking down the hill from a distance and closer, and it is way beyond that. I don't know how that guy walked that far in over 100 degree heat! The last 2 pictures show farther down the road but you still can't see the huge gouges in the road.
Soooo, we went to Midland and sang to the crowd (the room was completely crowded with AIR! Not one single person showed up, but we, not wanting to waste the trip, sang anyways!) Sometimes I think we're not too smart! LOL! Midland is an hour drive each way! To sing to air????? Is this faithfulness or stupidity? LOL. Oh well, it's practice for a 'real' gig that we will eventually get, I suppose. We decided not to waste anymore gas going back there, for now. Here are a few of the songs we did.

August 13th - And it rained hard all night, causing our creek to be running strongly, so that means that road is also flooded now with water and mud. Our, 5th wheel, that we are living in, leaked like a sieve from the over-head vents, and our blankets got soaked on our bed, our kitchen got all wet from another vent, and our tiny living area got wet from a 3rd vent. Also, our SUV is leaking from the sun roof and there is water all over the interior of it. We slept on a damp bed all night, with a garbage bag over me (the water mostly leaks on my side) - we now have wet blankets, pillows and towels and we can't hang them to dry because it's still raining during the day. And the ATV is still down the hill. We have prayed no one messes with it if anyone goes down there.
VIDEO: Ride with us!
So we've got a bunch of unexpected baby chicks to find a safe place for, our ATV is down in the woods, the roofs of our home AND our car leak, our mailbox got smooshed, no one showed up at our show, and there is water and mud EVERYWHERE! What a couple of days! James has been reading the Bible a lot out loud through this. We are constantly searching our hearts, and seeking Him, for the answers to these kinds of dilemmas. And we must trust Yahuwah. We are short of funds this month and low on food and gasoline for the car and the generator. Come for a ride with us on the lovely road out here, after a rain, and with silly narrator James.
August 15th - Well, it rained for two days, so much that our whole place was flooded and flowing like a creek, so today is the day we retrieve our ATV. In the pic is James talking to the father of the guy who wandered off a few days ago, to ask him to call for help if we don't make it back up the hill in about 45 minutes. The guy with Down's Syndrome is to the right. In the pictures I'm showing the quarter mile path that led to where the ATV was. And now as I type this, just a few hours later, I'm sitting in our home, and the heat index is 111 degrees and our ATV is sitting safely in the yard.
VIDEO: Walk with James down that rocky road!
It was really hard to walk on these rocks, but you couldn't be safe walking in the grass because you could get bit by rattlers or copperheads hiding in the tall grasses, and the middle grass was full of rocks - so it wasn't an easy hike for someone who has multiple spinal injuries and is also sensitive to heat waves.
Above, looking back up the hill.
Above, looking back up the hill.
August 16th - We have our workout gym set up in our barn/cabin, and I am also making it into a studio for our show and music, a craft room, and a storage building. We do have a little air conditioner hooked up in the window, so James can pull the generator (it has wheels) over there whenever we need it.
Since I was talking about goals at the beginning of this page, I want to show you the plans I made for the greenhouse and the rabbit area that I want to get made before winter if possible. The greenhouse will attach to the front of the barn/cabin, and the rabbit area will attach to the south side of it, in the shade. The first pic is a side view of the greenhouse, second is front view of the greenhouse, third is front view of the rabbit area, fourth is a view of the whole thing. I want us to make these similar to how James made the cat pen with landscape timbers, because that is real sturdy - landscape timbers for the frame with regular boards connecting them, fencing around the walls, then greenhouse plastic over that, with vents. I want to have stringed lights around the top, run by solar panels, to emit a little heat and provide some warmth in the winter, and a compost bin in one corner to provide more heat in winter. I hope to be able to grow vegetables in the winter in there. I want cinderblocks and 1x12's for the shelves. The PVC pipe is for a small hydroponics garden on the wall, and a strawberry tower to the right of that. The plastic on the rabbit area will be removed or pulled aside in the summer, and I want fine mesh around the bottom part of the fencing to keep small critters out.
.... Another goal.... I want to make the bathtub on the left look like the bathtub on the right!
Speaking of goals -
(yes the pictures above are all me.... Well, the faces are me - lol). Now that we have our workout machine, have started doing herbal cleanses, and are eating much healthier than we did years ago, with less meat and more vegetables and fruits (most of the time), I have a goal to get my pre-menopausal figure back, and get contact lenses once again so I can see to put make-up on. I have the same face (our family gets very few wrinkles as they age), and long hair, so the body just needs to get in order! The below pics ARE all me, from not too long ago - a very attainable goal.
I've been looking pretty frumpy lately
partly because of frustration from not getting ahead as fast as we had planned, and partly because of pain from the accident which has limited my activity level and caused me to gain weight. These pics will help me to stay focused on my goal. I look at this photo/diary a lot because it inspires me, so if you have an aversion to 'selfies', sorry, they are for me. I need all the inspiration I can get right now.
Below are two more, and I also want to meet my goal to start making tallits (prayer shawls) again. I made the ones in these pictures. To do this, I must finish cleaning up and organizing the barn/cabin so I have a clean place to sew. All of these 'nice' pictures are from within the past 10 years. My goal is very attainable. I'm doing this on the picture album to set myself up! Since I've shared this with friends, I'm obligated even more to do this. You see, I've had a bad habit that I need to fix - I procrastinate - I now have more of an incentive to meet this goal because I will feel foolish to have told you all about it and then not do it! Plus, I look at this diary all the time, so it will remind me to keep on keeping on! LOL.
Here I am too! Well, maybe I shouldn't try to retrieve my 'look' quite that far back! Lol.
Here and below are James and I in 2010.
Here's another goal of mine - I made this wedding cake for my daughter years ago, and I want to make fancy cakes for us just for fun, and decorated cookies to give away or sell, just because I love doing this. I've not had any training in this, but it's something I like doing for fun, Can't do it too often, or it wouldn't be very healthy! LOL.
Here's another cake I made years ago. It was fun! I made the cake topper also, and have a lot of supplies to make more with, to sell, so when I get a craft area set up, that is another thing I want to start making.
August 16th - the above meal may not look real appetizing, if you don't happen to like spinach and beets, but it was REALLY REALLY GOOD! Both veges are extremely good for you. With a little real butter and natural sugar on the beets, and butter on the spinach with turkey bacon bits - yum!
August 22nd - Beauty growing around an ugly old fence
VIDEO: Here's Pepper eating ragweed and lambsquarters
August 17th - James looking good!
August 17th - So we were all tired and relaxed, and got into our bed, which is on the part of the 5th wheel that fits over the back of a truck (if you are hooked up to a truck, which we are not). Anyway, the mattress is on the floor up there. I grabbed my toilet paper roll (which I keep up there in case I need to blow my nose) and wondered why something kinda soft and black was inside of it (cause I touched it), heard a sound like a baby rattle, and thought my water bottle was bubbling like it sometimes does from vacuum build-up, and heard the rattle again, and saw THE SNAKE! Got my little dog out of there (she sleeps right next to me facing the SNAKE - put her in her little crate and put it in the car for safety while telling James THERE'S A SNAKE UP HERE BY MY PILLOW!!!!! We were naked and afraid! LOL. Put pants on, got the axe, and after several minutes of panic attack (James, not me.. lol), he smashed the axe down on the snake several times. Then took a grabber and picked up my slipper that was by the snake, and realized the snake and slipper were both stuck on a mouse sticky trap (cause I had seen a mouse run across my pillow a few weeks ago). The first picture shows the snake stuck to the sticky trap, and the second shows it's sharp fangs (that didn't bite me, thank Yahuwah!) It didn't have rattles, so I don't know how it rattled, and we don't know what kind it is but it's lines underneath and below the anus are straight across, not divided in two, and that supposedly means a venomous snake. It was about 3 feet long and black. I don't know what kind it is.
VIDEO: SNAKE IN BED!
Now we need to find all the places it could have gotten in (torn screen, bathroom pipe going through hole in closet, hole in closet floor???? And plug up the holes, and put sulfur powder everywhere, and maybe some moth balls.
August 30th - Is this Elvis with a beard and mustache? No, this guy is better looking than Elvis.
September 4th - Labor Day is a celebration of the creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
September 6th - Beef sausage, our own tomato and some cottage cheese - this was SO good!
September 7th - Made a meal with one of our own tomatoes, some sliced cheese, cottage cheese and snack crackers, topped with Catalina dressing and boy was is good!
September 17th - Even Solomon is smelling something good from the smoker! What could it be?
Oh yah! Smoked chicken!
September 21st - The New Moon was sighted in Israel at 7:07 p.m their time which is 11:07 a.m our time, therefore this begins the first day of this Hebrew month. The Hebrew calendar is according to the New Moons, and is different than the calendar we all use presently. We are on the 7th Hebrew month, not the 9th one as September is. The Hebrew calendar (Yahuwah's calendar) days begin at sunset instead of midnight, and we are also 8 hours behind Israel, so for us in America the new month will begin 8 hours later than it does in Israel. Yahuwah's feast days (or holy days) are according to the New Moons. The Sabbath is not - it is every 7th day no matter what, and always falls on our 'Friday' at sunset and ends on our 'Saturday' at sunset.
We are actually commanded to observe the New Moon every month. In days of old, they'd light fires on the hilltops to let others know when the moon was spotted, but the evil people started lighting fires on the wrong days to confuse the Israelites, so that is why they switched to a set calendar. The problem is that the calendar is 'off' and they have not 'fixed' this! They just continue to celebrate things on the wrong days over in Israel! Now that we have the Internet, we can rely on trustworthy people in Israel to inform us of the New Moon sightings and do things on the correct days.
We needed to know when the first day of this month is before we could celebrate the Feast of Trumpets, which falls on the first day of this month. This has been confusing for us, since all of Yahuwah's people are to celebrate these things together, but it is because not all of His people live in Israel anymore that we cannot, and so we have to do our best with what we have. Up until right now, we used to go by the written calendar. I used to think that with today's technology surely they know exactly when each new moon will be, and will have the correct day on the calendar. But we found out they do not have it correct on the calendars, so we are going by the New Moon 'sighting' in Israel now (when trusted people actually 'see' the New Moon.)
Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah), which falls on the first day of the Hebrew month, is here. The first day begins on September 22nd, but starts at sunset September 21st instead of midnight. It ends at sunset on September 22nd. The actual feast is considered to be on September 22nd this year. Just remember that all the feasts begin at sunset the evening before.
September 22nd - Yom Teruah is today, and today is also Rosh Hashanah (Jewish civic New Year, NOT the actual New Year, since this is the 7th month on Yah's calendar, not the first month.) We don't celebrate Rosh Hashanah, as it's not the first month on the Hebrew calendar, and not a commanded by Yah feast day, but we acknowledge it for those who do. It's a secular holiday, rather than a holy day of Yah's, and we just choose not to celebrate it. But Yom Teruah (Trumpets) is a commanded feast day, and we are commanded to blow the trumpet and celebrate on this day. It is called 'the day that no man knows' and is why the Scripture says we shall not know the day or hour when the Messiah will return, because He will return on this feast day apparently to take up those believers who have both Him, Yahushuwah as their Messiah AND keep His commandments, (the 'rapture' or 'taking up'), ten days before the end of the Tribulation, before He pours out His wrath on the remaining people, and He was also born on this feast day (see below). We do not know the year nor the hour though. This would be a good time to sing those Christmas carols that do not mention Christmas, but are about the Messiah's birth! Just change the name to Yahushuwah instead of Jesus or Christ.
When going by the sighted moon, as we are told to do, it will either begin on the 29th evening of the 6th month, or if the moon isn't sighted on that evening because of clouds, then it will automatically fall on the 30th evening. This is why it is called 'the day that no man knows' - we don't know until it happens. It began on the 29th day this year.
It represents the announcing of a king. And in 3 B.C. it is the day our Messiah and King, Yahushuwah (not named Jesus) was born. (In 3 B.C. it fell on our September 11th.) We don't yet have a trumpet (or shofar), so we either play a shofar sound on tape or create one ourselves!
September 22nd - Happy birthday Jessica! (my daughter) - she loves oriental things. BTW, her birthday falls on the Feast of Trumpets this year. James made this cake. I didn't get to see my daughter but I got to eat her cake! LOL. I miss my daughter.
September 23rd - This year on this day, the prophecy of Revelation 12 comes to pass for the second time in 2,000 years. Some are saying for the first time ever - I don't completely understand this yet, but there is a book you can download from the internet for free as a PDF file called "The Star That Astonished The World" that explains why Yahushuwah was born on Feast of Trumpets, which fell on September 11th, in the year 3 B.C., and how this Revelation 12 Scripture was involved at that time. I haven't read it yet, but have read from people I respect, who have read it, who insist this is the true time of our Messiah's birth. So google search it and see what you think. According to some experts, and I agree, that this day should be significant prophetically. I'm writing this on September 27th, and nothing significant happened in the physical realm that I know of, but in the spiritual realm something important probably began and we will learn about it as time goes forward and the physical things begin to happen. Many believe the tribulation would start on this day. Those who believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the 'church' thought they were going to fly up to heaven on this day. Of course, they are still here. We do not believe the rapture will be before the tribulation, but will be near the end of it, before Yah's wrath is poured out on the remaining people on the earth, the last ten days of the tribulation.
And based on this Scripture in Revelation, I believe that the only ones who will be raptured before the 10 days of Yahuwah's wrath are those who both have the Messiah AND obey the commandments:
Revelation 3:7-10 "And to the angel of the Congregation in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens; I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."
Notice it says they have not denied His name? They have not denied Yahushuwah. They have the Messiah AND have kept His word (obeyed His commandments), and they will be 'kept' from the hour of temptation, which is referring to the wrath of Yahuwah. They are the only congregation who has this protection. Because of this, we do not believe that the Sunday keeping 'christians', and those who eat pork and other forbidden meats, nor those who celebrate pagan holidays, or refuse to celebrate Yahuwah's holy days, etc, will get raptured at all. They do not qualify. And Scripture says that these same ones, who practice lawlessness, or refuse to obey Yah's laws, will be turned away and told "I never knew you". THIS IS SO VERY IMPORTANT! We have spent hours upon hours trying to get through to people about this, practically begging them to repent so they can end up in Yah's kingdom, and over and over they have refused to listen, and have turned against us like rabid wolves! If this wasn't so important, I wouldn't be saying so much about it in our diary/photo album and would just put it in the ministry pages, but it has been part of our 'diary' the last few years almost more than anything else!
James' mother was a strong believer in the Lord, but didn't know His true name nor about keeping His commandments. We are hoping she made it into Heaven when she died, since she didn't know better, as we hope so many others who did not know and were never taught, have made it there. We will find out one day. But right before she died, James asked her for her blessing and she looked at him and said "double portion". He did not know what this meant until more recently, after he realized that we have to keep Yahuwah's commandments AS WELL as believe in and follow the Messiah Yahushuwah.
Many of the Jews obey the commandments (and many do not) but do not believe Yahushuwah is their Messiah, and 'christians' believe that Yahushuwah is the Messiah (yet they usually refuse to call Him by His real name even after you tell them about it), and they do not believe they need to obey Yahuwah's law/commandments, and therefore eat pig and other unclean meats, celebrate pagan holidays that Yah hates, and they do not celebrate His holy days that He commands, etc. Our ministry has been to inform these two groups of people and try to get them to realize they need to do both in order to be right with Yahuwah (the double portion). Most people will not bend an inch, but a few have listened and started to do the right thing. So although there isn't much diary on here about ministry events, you need to know that we are ministering practically everyday to people about these things. I just don't have pictures of it. Well, I do have the memes, which we do also use. LOL. We do the best we can.
So back to the rapture that DIDN'T happen on Feast of Trumpets - there IS a Scripture about the 'woman' being protected for 3 1/2 years in the wilderness (see below in verse 6), and the woman is said to represent Israel. It could be Jews who are not yet believers in Yahushuwah as Messiah, but keep the commandments, and are sealed for protection (to be kept alive) until they do believe at the end of the tribulation (the congregation of Smyrnia - the Bible says they must go through the last 10 days of the tribulation, which is the time of Yah's wrath) - perhaps they will be protected from much of the tribulation before the last 10 days, since many people will die in the tribulation. I don't think it will be the true believers who have both the Messiah AND do the commandments, because the verse goes on to say that those are the ones the dragon will go after when it realizes it can't get to the 'woman'. I'm just waiting to see what happens, because I am not an expert on the constellations nor on every detail of prophecy, and all this is a bit too much for me to understand.
Revelation 12 King James Version (KJV)
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of Yahuwah, and the power of his Messiah: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before Yahuwah day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time (3 1/2 years), from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Yahuwah, and have the testimony of Yahushuwah the Messiah.
Notice that again the Scriptures describe believers, in this case the 'remnant' as those who keep the commandments/law as well as have Yahushuwah as their Messiah. AGAIN showing that the two go together!
Now notice in the above pictures of the stars that the 'woman' (virgo) has the child (Jupiter) in her womb, and the red dragon constellation is between her legs (photos show it actually LOOKS like a red dragon!), the moon is under her feet, the sun 'clothes' her (like a shawl around her shoulders) and the 12 stars are above her, with Leo (Lion of Judah) above her. Google this topic - it is very interesting!
Now I want to show you something real quick. The part about the woman given two wings of an eagle fleeing to the wilderness and being nourished there - I believe means fed and protected - well, I found these pictures online (they are not my own) but want to show you what some people believe this verse refers to. There is water between Judah and Jordan (Petra - place of protection or safety), but over the recent years a land mass has risen out of the water (or the water has receded), and this land mass resembles an eagle. Some believe that when the abomination of desolation happens during the tribulation (in the past, this was when an anti-Messiah ruler sacrificed a pig on the altar in Jerusalem and demanded that Yahuwah's people worship him and also eat pig, or die), and those in Judah are to quickly flee into the wilderness,
Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Mat 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the loving affection of many will grow cold,
Mat 24:13 moreover he who endures to the end will be saved.
Mat 24:14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.
Mat 24:15 Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniy'el the prophet, standing in the sacred place (whoever reads, let him understand),
Mat 24:16 then let those who are in Yahudah (Judah) flee to the mountains.
Mat 24:17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.
Mat 24:18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
Mat 24:19 Moreover woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
Mat 24:20 Moreover pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the shabbath (Sabbath).
Mat 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever will be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days were shortened, no flesh whatsoever would be saved. Moreover through the elect those days will be shortened.
they will walk over the water on this 'eagle's wings' into Jordan and be safe there. Some even say that there are even areas where the water can sink into holes, and this may happen to fulfill Rev. 12:16. I'm not saying I definitely believe this is what this all means, but it has intrigued me for years, and I wanted to share it. All we can do is wait and see if that is what happens. But we are moving quickly into this time period that will begin with the war of Gog and Maygog (and the nations involved are presently threatening Israel and the United States for nuclear war), and end with the tribulation. Prophecy is being fulfilled daily leading to this event. So it has been heavily on our minds. People are lawless and REFUSE to repent of this even when shown the verses that say we must obey Yahuwah's commandments, they have accused us of hating people (for telling them to wake up and realize the truth), they have turned against us (even professing Sabbath keeping believers for one reason or another), and there is not true love in them (because love tells and receives the truth, it does not just make one 'feel good' with butterflies in the tummies.) One thing that bothers me is that the woman gets to a place of safety for 3 1/2 years (the tribulation lasts that long) but her 'seed' who have the Messiah AND keep the commandments have the dragon (satan) after them. I'm one of those, and I'd like to be protected also. Check out these aerial photos of the passageway leading to Petra in Jordan and see what you think:
If this is true, then the woman 'fleeing' to into the wilderness on the wings of an eagle and the people in Judah fleeing to the mountains may be the same event and may be that the believers in Judah travel on foot across this 'eagles' wings' into the wilderness there in Jordan, to Petra, where there are crevasses in the mountains that provide safe places. This may all sound strange to you, but this is why James and I chose to move out of the city and onto a mountain in a more remote area. We do not live physically in Judah, but spiritually this may apply to us, and we do not have the resources to travel to Israel now nor at the last minute, so we did the best we could with the knowledge we have and the small amount of resources, to get ourselves in a safer place. There are no guarantees as far as safety goes - only to trust in Yahuwah, but we believe He led us here. If we die here, then so be it - we will end up in His loving arms. If we are protected here, then so be it - we will try to get our gardens going so we can help feed others too, and we are ALWAYS sharing the gospel with those we meet, in person or online.
VIDEO: Military Planes Flying Low
This is what we often wake up to - these planes fly right over our home, very low, on a fairly regular basis. It's really rude for the military to fly that low over people's homes. The airport is at least 20 miles away. Sometimes they fly so low it sounds like they are going to scrape the top of our home - there is loud rattling and it's kinda scary! And sometimes they are accompanied by a Black Hawk helicopter which makes the whole building rattle because it is so loud.
September 30th - waking up next to each other is the second best part of every day! (the best part is waking up with Yahushuwah as our Messiah!)
September 30th Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement, day of 'face to face') begins at sunset on this day. It's a commanded feast day, and we are to examine ourselves and if there is any sin in our lives, we are to get it out of our lives. Of course we are to do that everyday, but this day is considered the holiest day of the year, because the Jewish people believe it's the day their sins get forgiven when the high priest goes into the Holy of Holies and offers a sacrifice for their sins once a year. The reason I say 'Jewish' and 'their' is because we now have the once and for all High Priest, Yahushuwah, who was the final sacrifice once and for all, and who forgives us everyday when we repent of sins, but the Jews reject Him and continue believing it is done on this holy day and should be through a human priest. It is also, as I understand it, the day He will return at the end of the Tribulation with those He snatched up on Feast of Trumpets, and get the sealed ones who had to go through the last 10 days of the Tribulation, as they will have become believers in Him by now, and the Tribulation is over, and the New Millenium will be about to begin. It is a high Sabbath day and we are not to work, and the commandment instructs us also to afflict our souls (or in the version below, practice self-denial)...
"And this shall be to you a law for all times: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month you shall practice self-denial" (Leviticus 16:29; 23:27)
which many say means fasting. We should dedicate the day to drawing near to our heavenly Father through His Son Yahushuwah. Day of At-Onement (with our bridegroom Yahushuwah). It is also called 'face to face', because it's the only day each year that the high priest could go into the Holy of Holies, behind the veil, (like the groom lifting the veil of His bride and seeing her face to face) and be in the actual presence of Yahuwah and live (no man could see His face and live Exodus 33:20), but now as believers in Yahushuwah the Messiah, who is our permanent High Priest and whose Holy Spirit lives in us, we are able to go into His Holy of Holies (presence) through Him, and live, not just once a year, but everyday if we desire.
VIDEO: "For Your Name Is Holy"
Hebrews 10:18-22 "Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer an offering for sin. Therefore, brothers, having boldness to enter the Reverend (Holiest Place or Holy of Holies) by the blood of Yahushuwah, by a new and living way that He renewed us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Temple Official over the house of Yahuwah, let us come with a true heart in full assurance of faith"
In His presence is fullness of joy. When He died for our sins, the veil ripped in half and no longer separated people from the Holy of Holies. Most Jews and many Torah observant believers (commandment/law observant) do not believe this is why the veil ripped in half and think we are still supposed to be doing sacrifices through a human high priest, except for the fact that there is no temple to do them in presently and most of them do not live in Jerusalem where they are to be done. We say that Yahushuwah changed the way that we obey these laws in that we now do them through Him spiritually, but 'they' call this 'replacement' theology and insist that Yahushuwah didn't replace the sacrificial system. We believe that not one jot or tittle has been removed from the law, but not all of the law applies to every person in every situation, and the sacrificial laws are done through Yahushuwah instead of man now. So, you see, even among the believers in keeping the commandments there is division and arguments! We just do the best we can with the information we have and our ability to understand it all. Some do not fast on this day because Yahushuwah was afflicted for our sins, therefore we no longer are required to do this. Others do it 'just in case' it still applies. Others do it just as it is written. We are all trying to do it correctly, with the understanding we have. One thing we do all agree on is that we are to 'rest' on this day, as it is a High Sabbath for all generations. And we should humble ourselves EVERY day and repent of sins as soon as we realize we've sinned.
The verses below show again that we can enter His presence behind the veil through faith in Yahushuwah, and do not need an earthly temple nor high priest now that we have Yahushuwah. Some apparently do not believe the words of the New Testament. Both Old and New are part of One Book and they all work together. Being able to be in Yahuwah's very presence and also have our sins forgiven through Him instead of a priest does not mean we are not to honor this holy day, as it says it is a permanent statute. Putting the old and new together is the key. We honor the holy day, and we do it through Yahushuwah our High Priest now (and our bodies are His temple) instead of a human priest and physical temple. That should not be so hard to understand.
2 Corinthians 3:14-16 "But their minds were callused. For until this day their veil remains not unveiled upon the reading of the old covenant that is taken away by the Anointed. But even to this day, when Mosheh (Moses) is read, a covering lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to Yahuwah, the covering is taken away."
Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
Hebrews 6:19-20 "Which we have as an anchor of the soul, both definite and firm, and that enters into the inner sanctum of the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, Yahushuwah, having become high temple official forever in the same manner as Melekiy-Tsedeq."
"For it is on this day that atonement shall be made for you to cleanse you; and you shall be clean from all your sins before Yahuwah. It is to be a sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may humble your souls; it is a permanent statute" (Leviticus 16:30-31 NAS).
"On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement...for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the Lord your God.... You shall do no work at all. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places. It is to be a sabbath of complete rest to you, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening you shall keep your Sabbath" (Leviticus 23:27-28,31-32 NAS).
"Then on the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall humble yourselves; you shall not do any work" (Numbers 29:7 NAS)
"Then shall you cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall you make the trumpet sound throughout all your land." Leviticus 25:9
As you can see, we are also to blow the trumpet on this day.
October 4th at sunset begins Sukkot, or Feast of Tabernacles. It lasts for 7 days, and then an 8th day is added to it, and it's another commanded feast time. We are commanded to dwell in a temporary dwelling everyday for the week, to commemorate the sheltering of the Israelites in the wilderness, but it also represents Yahushuwah's coming from Heaven to dwell with us here on earth (tabernacle among us). It also represents the future time when Yahushuwah (the groom) has married His bride (believers) and spends 7 days with His new bride as the Hebrew custom is. There's a lot more to all of this as far as history and prophecy goes, but I'm not getting any more detailed than I already have. For now, we are supposed to meet in Israel for this event, but most cannot do that, so they either camp out in the woods for the week, or visit another congregation other than theirs as many of the days as possible, or make a sukka (a hut-like structure)
to spend some time in everyday to represent being in a temporary dwelling. We live in the woods, and already live in a temporary dwelling until we get our adobe cabin built, and are not able to travel, so we celebrate it at home. Below is a real sukka. I took this picture in 1973 in Florida. They weren't celebrating Sukkot, but it is a good example of a sukka. You can make them simple (like picture below) or fancy (like the first picture) - you can even use a tent if you want.
It is a celebration time of feasting, and the Bible says we can even have strong drink if we so desire. That's right, there is NO commandments that says we cannot drink an alcoholic beverage, and several that say we can. We are just not supposed to get drunk or act foolish when we drink. Moderation is the key, and if you are an alcoholic, then you shouldn't drink at all. That's just common sense.
October 6th - Here's my sweet cute little Tissy.
The bunny on the left is the daddy and the one on the right is the son. Both have blue eyes. Beautiful!
October 14th - Pizza made by James
October 25th - Our little baby. She's so cute I can't get enough of her!
October 31st - By the way, over 20 years ago I wrote a book about Halloween and the occult, how celebrating it affects you, how people do many of the occult practices throughout the year as well, and how to get set free from the affects of it. I never published it, and it's been 'on the shef' all this time, but in the past few months I've been editing it and will self-publish it hopefully before the year is done. I want to put it online for people to read for free, plus make an electronic book that people can order for a decent price, and I'll make some paper-back copies as well for those who prefer that. I'll post on here when I get it finished. Here are the covers
November 1st - Happy Birthday James!
November 3rd - It's payday, so we made a visit to the Golden Coral, and look what we found outside! A BEAUTIFUL Harley! We didn't get to take it home, or even go for a ride, but it sure is pretty!
November 6th - Happy Anniversary to us. We've been married for 8 years now! Here's a glimpse into the past on that special day.
November 7th - James turned 65 six days ago and he sure doesn't look old and haggard like most of his former wrestling buddies now look! I'm not kidding - most of them are FAT and OLD looking. MY man is better than those men! LOL! We're having fun out here.
November 11th - Veterans Day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veterans Day
November 13th - Our babies.
LOL! The weather's getting cold!
November 23rd - Thanksgiving Day - to celebrate being thankful for the fall harvest, or to celebrate Columbus' discovery of America? Guess what? Columbus didn't 'discover' America, and he tortured the original inhabitants of America, the Native Americans! Boy, I'm just full of good news, aren't I?
We do still celebrate Thanksgiving Day, but for the general purpose of being thankful and being with family, and we do keep the Native Americans in mind as to how poorly they've been treated and still are by the government. We couldn't afford to have a Thanksgiving dinner so we had cottage cheese on avocados instead.
November 28th - Now this looks like an official 'off-grid' meal, a survival type of meal that you'd have to force down, but it actually tasted extremely good. James put some brown sugar and barbeque sauce in the beans with beef sausage, some cheddar cheese in the spinach, and onions in the potatoes, and wow! Simple, cheap, and good.
December 3rd - Happy Birthday Jennifer! (Me) Yeah, these are cards that I made! LOL! The dolls are my own doll collection.
Okay, I found this old pic and I can't resist - I have to tell you what I used to do when I was a teenager. I was 18 in this picture and standing in front of the old lighthouse at the North Pier in Benton Harbor, Michigan. My friends and I used to love to walk out on this pier - notice below how far out it goes, and the water is deep out there!
and we did it even when the waves were yes, this high! (see below - these 3 pictures I found online, they are not my own, but they sure bring back memories!) It's amazing that we are still alive!
And we used to go out on it in the winter when, yes, it looked like this! And was very slippery! If our parents knew they'd probably have had a heart attack. I remember walking all the way to the end, on the other side of the second building. Slippery ice everywhere, and deep freezing cold water on both sides!
December 6th - Well, payday came and we bought a turkey and ate it late. This was smoked on our smoker outside and really good!
December 7th - Toasted turkey sandwich and Brussels sprouts with cheese sauce. We've been pretty poor financially for several years, waiting for a breakthrough, but we manage to eat pretty good.
December 9th - Here's garlic toast on steroids. James roasted the garlic in a fry pan and got it soft and mellow, then put it on the bread with butter and herbs and toasted it.
December 12th - Well, our lives just took a turn for the better, financially. We are celebrating at a Mexican restaurant. We usually only eat at buffets, and only once or twice a month, because of low funds. But things are finally looking better - we got that breakthrough we've been praying for! Now you're going to see some 'real' progress if you keep in touch with this website and our youtube channel.
December 13th - Hanukkah (Festival of Lights). This is not a commanded feast day, but it is fun to celebrate. It commemorates the rededication of the temple in Jerusalem, but is also believed to be the time when Mary became pregnant with Yahushuwah, the Light of the World. It lasts 8 days. We do NOT celebrate Christmas. It is totally pagan and has NOTHING to do with the birth of our Messiah! He was born during the fall feast days, on Feast of Trumpets.
December 16th - Right in the middle of Hanukkah, Yah blessed us with the ability to start getting the things we need to move forward with our ministry. Here is our almost brand new Troy Built Rototiller. Now we have a way to dig and cultivate our garden areas, and expand them. Also, almost everything of value that we owned was in the pawn shop, and we were able to get it all out and bring it home! We got heaters to keep us warm this winter, 2 large generators and a small one, an extra propane stove, re-chargeable batteries, 2 6x6 walk in greenhouses - these will be extra, as we still will build our main one as an extension to our barn/cabin. We got 2 100 watt solar panel sets, and better inverter, new headlamps, James got some really good deals on a couple of guitars, a couple of amplifiers, extra gas cans and a tent to store them in, extra 7 gallon water containers for our drinking water that we buy. He now is able to pay 2 or 3 neighbor guys to help him finish our cabin, build the greenhouse and rabbit house and put up a fence around our property. We will be able to make better and safer areas for our dogs, chickens and goats, and we'll be able to get a few sheep and a calf. That is, providing Yahuwah allows it and providing World War 3 or some other major catastrophe doesn't begin. We are staying prayerful.
December 23rd - My daughter finally came to see us here with her husband. She doesn't like having her pictures taken so I don't have one to post, but we had a nice time today!
December 25th - Low and behold, this day is Christ mass day! We do not celebrate it! Neither does Yahuwah! Yahushuwah was born on the Feast of Trumpets, Yom Teruah, not December 25th. December 25th is considered the birth date of many pagan gods, but NOT Yahushuwah! The answer is "NO! He does not need a mass. He is not in purgatory (and that is what a mass is done for, by the Catholics). There is no such place as purgatory!
