Here are our beautiful pets.
This is Maya, the 'intense' dog. She is a Shepherd Wolf mix. She was born on December 4th, 2012 and we got her in January of 2013 at 6 weeks old.
She will look into our eyes very intensely, and if we don't pay the attention that she wants, she will try to climb in our lap and shove her face into our hand!
Maya is precious and sweet, and she's sensitive. Her feelings get hurt easily.
Looking intense as a grown up
She's a beauty!
I've wanted a long-haired German Shepherd and she fits the looks
She's a furry cuddle bear to us.
This is Solomon. He is Maya's brother. He was born on December 4th, 2012 and we got him in January of 2013.
He, like his sister, took on more of the Shepherd's physical characteristics than the wolf's. But they both howl almost every night, neither will stay inside of a crate at night (they bend the bars and escape it), and a few other 'wolfy' things.
They both howl like wolves and have wolf markings on their backs, and grey hair under their brown hair on their backs.
He's so majestic!
This is Sugarbear. She was abandoned in her back yard when her owner moved out and left her there. The neighbor took her in but was going to take her to the dog pound, and we got her from his friend who rescued her. We got her in February of 2013 at about 10 weeks old.
Sugar is a VERY SWEET dog.
The veterinary people say she is a long haired white Labrador Retriever.
I had also wanted a white dog that looks like this!
This is Sasha. She is an Alaskan Malamute. We got her in August of 2011, at 10 months old. We re-homed her in June of 2015 because she attacked one of our goats, trying to kill it, and we felt she'd be better off in a home where there were no livestock. She's a great people dog, with an amusing personality, and we loved her a lot, so I'm keeping her pictures in this album.
She was rescued from a breeder who was going to kill her because they couldn't find her a home.
The family who rescued her was moving and had to give her up.
She has a cute personality. She talks to us and gets real expressive about it.
She also howls like a wolf.
She's a lot of fun
Here she is acting 'wolfy' - she was playing with a wolf
Curled up tail
LOOK into my eyes!!!!
She's our pretty baby girl!
This is Sammy, our American Eskimo Dog. We got him from a breeder who decided not to breed anymore and he was their favorite stud dog.
He was Sasha's counterpart!
I called them 2 peas in a pod! They were pals.
He can scale up and over a 6-foot tall privacy fence!
Sammy is my little sweetie pie.
He's very cuddly
This is Missy. She's a Maltese who we think originally came from a breeder who over bred her and didn't take care of her. Her teeth were rotten, one fell out when I touched it, and many more were missing, and her health was bad. She is no longer with us, but I kept her pictures in here because she was so cute.
Roughin' it today
This was when I first came to my new home
Such pretty hair!
This is Tally. The neighbors gave her to us in September of 2013 at about 7 months old. Someone had dropped her off to them and they told them she is a Yorkie.
Every time she saw us, she ran up and wanted to be picked up and cuddled. She bounces up and down for attention.
For some reason no one was taking care of her, so the father of the family next door asked us if we want her.
And of course James said 'Yes!'
She's such a little cutie!
This is Samantha. She is half American Eskimo (Sammy's the daddy) and half Labrador (Sugarbear's the momma). She was born on April 13, 2015, in a litter of 12 puppies. We kept her and her sister Honeybear. They are both very sweet, but they do kill chickens, so we can't let them run loose or we lose a few birds! She's sweet, but likes to boss her sister around, and has also become an escape artist, so she's a challenge!
Here's one more.
This is Honeybear as a puppy and recently in November 2016. She's as sweet as honey. I love her personality.
Here they are together in their pen.
This is Tissy. She might be a mix of a Shiatsu and a Maltese, but we are not sure. She is a little cutie and very sweet. We got her on February 13, 2016, at about 2 years old, after her disabled vet owner died and his neighbor put in an add to avoid her going to the dog pound. When her owner would go somewhere, she would wait outside by the gate until he returned! So she was a very loyal little dog, but very shy to anyone else, hiding under the bed rather than socialize. When we first got her she was shy, but she now is my forever friend, and stays by my side whenever she can. The first picture is what she looked like in the add, and the rest are after we adopted her.
Here's Wolf, our newest furry family member. He was born on 9-05-16, Labor Day, with Sugarbear, the white lab as his mom, and Solomon, the German Shepherd Wolf mix as his dad. There were 7 puppies and we adopted out the other 6.
This is Sassy. I got her in 1997 when she was about ten weeks old, and she passed away February 23, 2015, at 18 years old.
She used to sit in my lap for hours.
She was a little sweetie!
This is Bella. Her owners' son became allergic to her, so I got her in September of 2011 at 6 years old.
She's a beauty.
This is Misty. Her owner got pregnant and said the cat has got to go, and threw her outside! She doesn't even have any front claws! A friend snatched her up and gave her to me in September of 2011 at 6 years old. Why do people bother to have a cat in the first place if they are going to trash it when they get pregnant? This happens often.
LOL!!! When we first got her, she didn't like us! We had dogs, and she didn't like dogs. But she got used to us and is a sweet kittie now, most of the time, except for when she's in a bad mood.
This is Oreo. We rescued her from the dog pound in March of 2012 when she was 1 year old. She's very sweet, very playful, and loves to escape captivity.
This is Mocha. His owner died and her husband didn't want to keep him or his brother, so we got them in May of 2012. He weighs about 20 pounds! He's a BIG hunk of BEAUTIFUL!
This is Smokey. He is Mocha's brother, and weighs almost as much as his brother. He's like a Sassy on steroids. Sassy weighed about 5 pounds, Smokey weighs about 20 pounds. He's a very shy but very sweet kittie!
And here are some kittens we had until we re-homed them. Some evil moron from hell dumped them off on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. The momma cat and 2 more babies got away from me, running into the woods, but I caught these 3 and brought them home on June 4th, 2014. They were sweet little kitties, about 6 or 8 weeks old, that were undernourished. The gray one was skin and bones, and VERY SWEET AND LOVING. They would all three sit on my lap and play with each other and then go to sleep. Sooooo cute!
This was taken in November 2014 in their outdoor play and living area. Each kitty has their own little apartment that is small to keep them warm in the winter. There is a lot of straw in there for comfort, and a large tree branch for them to climb on. They seem very content in there, but when we get our cabin built, we are going to make them an even better area with a little door to our cabin so they can come in and be with us inside also.
No more skeleton showing through, and she is very playful and cuddly too. I keep this one inside. She got adopted out after she grew up.
These are our pet bunnies and their babies that they had on December 24th, 2016. All of the white ones have blue eyes. The momma gray one is the only one who doesn't.
Below are some 'group' family pet pictures that are too cute to leave out
